Made for grasping sponges and dressings, Aesculap BF122R is a straight Foerster-Ballenger sponge forceps. It measures 245 mm (9-5/8 in) and has a box lock, a ratchet and ring handles. The instrument is marked AESCULAP and BF122R. The oval jaws are serrated and fenestrated.
