This lumbar Kerrison rongeur is a hand-held spinal instrument with a biting jaw for cutting bone or disc tissue. It has a 4 mm upbite set at 40 degrees and is 8 in (203 mm) long. The handles are engraved 53-1417 and 4 mm. The shaft is engraved "DRAINAGE HOLES", and a row of small holes runs along it toward the tip.
