Self-retaining and reusable, the V. Mueller SU3000 is a Balfour retractor frame. Its UDI record describes a Balfour retractor with wire side blades, operative open 7-1/4 in (18.4 cm). One wire side blade sits on a curved arm at one end of two parallel rods. A carriage mounted on both rods carries a wing nut.
