Urology & Cystoscopy Instruments
Clear Choice Medical offers new and used urology surgical instruments and cystoscopy equipment on this page. It covers cystoscopes and the sheaths, obturators and bridges that pair with them, including Albarran bridges.
333 products · sorted by price (high to low)

Cystoscopy instruments here also include resectoscope sheaths, working elements and Albarran deflecting bridges. Biopsy and grasping forceps come in rigid, semi-rigid and flexible designs. Ureteroscopes are listed as well, along with urethral sounds in Van Buren and Lefort patterns. Listings name makers such as Olympus, Karl Storz and Richard Wolf, along with ACMI and Stryker. Clear Choice Medical is an independent reseller with no affiliation to these manufacturers.
When you match urological instruments, start with the system family, since sheaths and obturators are usually built for one maker's range. Then compare the French size of each sheath and the working length of each forceps. For cystoscopes, note the diameter and the direction of view, such as 30 degrees or 70 degrees. Working element titles often state the action type, such as passive action. Inventory turns over as pieces sell, so treat this page as a live list rather than a fixed catalog. Browse the current urology instruments for exact model details, or send Clear Choice Medical a question about a sheath or scope.
Common questions about Urology & Cystoscopy
What do the French sizes on a semi-rigid ureteroscope mean?
A semi-rigid ureteroscope can carry several French figures, one for the endoscope itself and others for its working channel. Olympus lists its WA29049A as 6.4/7.8 Fr x 330 mm, with a 4.2 Fr channel. The same sheet gives a working channel passage of 3.5 Fr with the one-way attachment. A title reading 4.2 Fr x 330 mm with a 3.5 Fr WC gives the channel size, the length and the passage figure. The sheet also lists a direction of view of 7 degrees. Olympus makes its semi-rigid ureteroscopes in long and short lengths, with straight or offset eyepieces. Compare each figure in a title with the maker's own specification sheet before you match an endoscope to your setup.
What is an Albarran bridge on a cystoscope?
An Albarran bridge is a cystoscope bridge fitted with an Albarran control lever for deflecting a catheter. Karl Storz catalogs these parts as catheter deflecting mechanisms. The Karl Storz versions differ in details a listing title may show. The 27026 E has one lockable port and a 25 cm working length. The 27026 EF has two lockable ports and a 23 cm working length. The 27026 EC adds quick control and lists a 24 cm working length. All three list a ratchet. Match the model number to the maker's specification. Then check that the bridge belongs to the same system as your sheath and telescope.
How are cystoscope sheaths sized and color coded?
Cystoscope sheaths are sized in French, and Karl Storz also assigns a color code to each sheath size. Its catalog lists the 17 Fr sheath set as yellow, the 20 Fr set as red and the 22 Fr set as blue. Each of those sets lists a 22 cm working length. Karl Storz lists obturators against a sheath size or model, such as a visual obturator for 24/26 Fr sheaths. Some sheaths add an extra slot, which Karl Storz says stops flexible instruments from slipping off. These colors are one maker's catalog data. Confirm the French size, not the color alone, before you match a sheath to your set.
