What to check on a used rigid scope.

Every scope is photographed individually, and we can send extra images of the tip, the shaft or the light post on request.

Light fibers

Point the light post at a light source and look at the tip. Broken fibers show as dark specks in the ring.

Through the eyepiece, a printed page should look clear and neutral, not hazy or yellowed.

Lens and shaft

The distal lens should be free of chips and crazing, and the shaft straight with no dents.
